Skid Row, in their Sebastian Bach days, were one of the greatest “hair metal” bands. Even though they weren’t really a hair metal band, they were the basis for what became hard rock. Their guitar riffs and bass lines were much deeper and had a entirely different style. For a good old school pumped up ride, go out and pick up “Youth Gone Wild” or “Slave To The Grind” and throw down on the mountain.

Chevelle is one of the best hard rock bands out there, making them worth everyones recognition. This three piece knows how to throw down. Their guitarist has an experimental style that catches anyones ears, their bassist’s rhythm keeps you wanting to bump and the drummer has the beats to get you pumped for war. Go out and pick up their record and tear it up

The Chariot is one of the craziest experimental hardcore metal bands ever to be recorded. With their lead singer, former lead singer or Norma Jean, has the vocals of a demon god, the guitars with their insane riffs that almost make no sense but are so intricate, drumming with insane timing, and a deep thunderous bass this band packs a punch and everyone’s trying to tag along for the ride. For near dangerous inspiration on the slopes go pick up their record The Fiance and tear it up yo.

Nirvana is the creators of what we like to call grundge. Kurt Cobain and his dark and morbid lyrics had seperated this band mostly from the rest, which was hair metal at the time. Also their style of creating music was entirely different, they didn’t make riffs but instead just used a certain few chords in different progressions. Nirvana is one of the most influential and time held bands and will always be recognized as the forfronters of what music had become in the ninties. Go out and pick up one of their records and jam out to it and tear it up.
